THE AGA KHAN HOSPITAL BASED IN DAR ES SALAAM TANZANIA IS SEEKING ENTHUSIASTIC AND QUALIFIED EXPERIENCED PERSONNEL FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implements and coordinates an effective and efficient asset maintenance program to support and meet established maintenance initiatives and objectives for electrical network.
• Design, implement, maintain, and improve l, l electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, Components and systems for Hospital purposes.
• Directs and coordinates manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and Hospital requirements.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications for electrical network.
• Monitor electrical system parameters produce monthly reports and suggest modifications and up gradations to the Hospital management
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment, Investigate electrical failures and suggest proactive solutions.
• Ensures routine and emergency maintenance on Diesel generators, UPS systems Stabilizers, Distribution Panels, ATS, synchronization Panels and other electromechanical instruments, by the help of contractor and team of electricians.
• Train his subordinates to ensure that staff knowledge and skills are sufficient to provide effective and efficient "maintenance services necessary to meet the established maintenance.
Job requirements
• Plan daily maintenance activities for staff l including Preventive maintenance.
• Prepare spare Parts lists, monitors inventory and ensures that critical parts for critical; electrical equipment is kept in stoke.
Qualification, Knowledge It Experience
Academic/Education:
• Bachelor's Degree OR Diploma in Electrical OR Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge & Experience
• At least five years of hands on experience in Hospital or Hotel Industry for Bachelor's Degree Holder
• At least 7 years of hands on experience in Hospital or Hotel Industry for Diploma Holder
• Good command on engineering Drawings and software's such as computerized maintenance management systems and Auto CAD.
• Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Key Responsibilities
• Ensures supply of Utilities (electricity, water, Medical Gases) to the hospital Through Proper Monitoring.
• Performs routine and emergency maintenance on the generators, pumps, medical gases, water supply systems AT~ and Synchronization Panels.
• Repairs all small and large Electrical/ mechanical/Plumbing equipment and machines in the hospital including Generators, pumps compressors washing machines and Kitchen Equipment.
• Checks the levels of in-coming DAWASCO/ TANASCO supply and timely switch over to the alternate supply, in case of power /water supply failure.
• Prepares documentation (e.g. record/ logs) For the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying Information.
• Helps his supervisor in Requesting equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required spares/consumables to complete the necessary installation/repair.
• Maintains departmental/Personal tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe Operating condition
• Performs shift duties for 24/7 coverage of maintenance services to the Hospital
• Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety Concerns.
Qualification, Knowledge & Experience
Academic/Education:
• Diploma OR VETA Grad one Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
Knowledge & Experience
• At least five years of hands on experience in Hospital or Hotel Industry for diploma Holder
• At least 7 years of hands on experience in Hospital or Hotel Industry for VETA certificate Holder
• Should be able to read engineering drawings and Operation and service manuals

Job Title: Plumber
Key Responsibilities
• Perform plumbing work including fixing of broken mechanical parts sanitary blockages and blockages in air and water handling lines.
• Maintain mechanical heating/ventilation plant.
• Maintain water feature monthly water temperature/consumption readings.
• Clearing out roof gutters sewer chambers and rain water drain lines.
• General plumbing repairs sinks/taps. Clearing blocked toilets, sink wastes and drains.
• To undertake a planned program of maintenance as directed by Maintenance supervisors.
• Performs shift duties for 24/7 coverage of maintenance services to the Hospital.
• Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Qualification Knowledge & Experience
Academic/Education.:
• VETA Grade one certificate in plumbing.
Knowledge & Experience
• At least five years of hands on experience in hospital or hotel industry as plumber.

Job Title: Electrician
Key Responsibilities
• Resolve electrical issues like changing lights bulb doing wiring for the Hospital.
• Diagnoses causes of electrical problems or failures for the purpose of Identifying equipment and/or systems repair
• Ensures the proper supply of electricity by monitoring Electrical generators
• Performs daily cleaning and refueling of electrical generators and helps the contractor during service visits.
• Performs New installation of electrical equipment and laying of cables
• Responds to routine calls for repairs and service.
• Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving
Qualification, Knowledge & Experience
Academic/Education:
• VETA Grad one certificate as electrician.
Knowledge & Experience:
• At least five years of hands on experience in hospital or hotel industry as Electrician

Job Title: Lab Histo Technologist
Key Responsibilities
• Prioritizing work load in the section posted, performing test after running controls and making sure that they are documented and passed.
• Monitoring pending logs from LlMS in respective section and organizing section' for well-coordinated performance.
• Be well versed with principles of patient and specimen identification, specimen separation, storage and archiving.
• Performing of routine/specialized tests and recording the results in the LlMS and authenticating after proper validation and verification.
• Recording and reporting all critical results to the concerned clinician or Nurse in-charge following policy of reporting critical labs and documenting it.
• Monitoring pending tests as well as urgent tests with a thought of maintain TAT
Qualification, Knowledge & Experience
Academic/Education:
• Diploma/Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institute and registered with the laboratory Board.
Knowledge & Experience
• At least 1 year relevant work experience.
• Be familiar and experienced with the Laboratory
• Information Management System (LIMS), in terms of application and utilization.
• Keeps him/her self well-groomed and observes the uniform code at all times.
